Wesley Alvin Motsinger

KERNERSVILLE-Wesley Alvin Motsinger, 67, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 16, 1943 in Forsyth Co. to the late Wesley Calvin and Ruth Martin Motsinger.
Alvin was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He graduated from Kernersville High School in 1961 and attended High Point College. On May 31, 1990 he retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. after many years of service. Alvin was an avid golfer and loved playing at Pine Knolls Golf Course.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Robertson Motsinger of the home; daughter, Elizabeth (Liza) M. Wearn and husband Mark of Winston Salem; son, Christopher A. Motsinger and wife, Marsha of Kernersville; two grandchildren, Marissa Black-Motsinger and Matt Todd of Charlotte, and Jonathan Mark Wearn of Winston Salem.
A Private Graveside Service will be held. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 8:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Dr. Bonnie Preston Harris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Kernersville Medical Center, ICU nurses, Dr. Anwar and Hospice and Palliative CareCenter in Winston Salem.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1018 Piney Grove Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284.
