Wendy Longworth

Wendy Helsabeck Longworth, 58, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Forsyth Co. on January 1, 1962 the daughter of the late Edwin Ray Helsabeck and Bonnie Louise Blackburn Helsabeck. Wendy retired from the Forsyth County Sheriffs Office with 30 years of service. She was a selfless person who loved her family dearly. Wendy loved her animals and loved spending time with her family at the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Helsabeck. She is survived by three children, Stoney Longworth (Honesty) of Tobaccoville, Hunter Longworth of Rural Hall and Valorie Longworth of Rural Hall; two grandchildren who were “the light of her world”, Easton and Adeline Longworth; a sister, Tewanna Helsabeck Wommack (Buddy) of Guyton, GA; a brother, Richie Helsabeck (Wendi) of Max Meadows, VA; and eight nieces, Angie, Christa, Haley, Victoria, Kristin, Amanda, Olivia and Katlyn. She is also survived by many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Old Richmond Evangelical Church with Rev. Jeff Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Old Richmond Evangelical Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to cancer research to the organization of the donor’s choice.
