Wendy Evans Bartlett, age 44, passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1976 to Teresa (Mitchell) Evans and the late Allen Evans. She is survived by her husband, Amiss Bartlett; children, Sadie and Luke; and a devoted puppy named Leelo. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Evans; mother-in-law, Janet Bartlett; and brother-in-law, Mathew (Marlene) Bartlett. Wendy has several nieces, Brittany Evans Gibson (Nick), Ashley Evans, Olivia Bartlett, and Zoë Clay; and a nephew, Christopher Evans. She is survived by many cousins, Penny (Andy) Scott, Anthony (Poncho) Mitchell, Jason (Shannon) Councilman, and others. In addition, she has two aunts, Shelby Evans Lawson and Carolyn (Bill) Evans West.

Wendy graduated from Carver High School in 1994 with honors and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from UNC-Greensboro in 2005. She had a passion for her children, animals, and reading. She often visited the beach with family and friends. Wendy was known for her quick wit, her infectious laugh and smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Throughout Wendy’s life, she had an unbreakable bond with some special girlfriends from high school, young adult life, and neighborhood. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall throughout her lifetime.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2020 by the officiating Pastor Jon White of Freedom Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Wendy.
