Weldon "Roger" Wall

Mr. Weldon ""Roger"" Wall, 71, passed away November 14, 2016 at his home. He was born August 22, 1945 in Forsyth County to the late William Bledsoe Wall and Bessie Johnson Wall. Mr. Wall attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and studied at Walkertown High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed with various companies throughout his career including R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Winston-Salem Police Department, Hubbard Realty, Baldwin Property Management and subsequently retired to working as owner of W. R. Wall Painting Company. Most of all he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Wall and two brothers, James Robert Wall and William Dean Wall; two sisters, Sylvia Anita Wall and Darlene Wall Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy Wall; his children, Sherry Wall Cox (Mark) and Mark Wall; seven grandchildren, Elisha Pruitt, Casey Boles, Samantha Collins (Stephen), Shanna Hawks, Jake Wall, Luke Wall and Kinsey Wall; a very special great-grandson, Leeland Collins and a special niece, Teresa Wall. He is also survived by many other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David Cloer officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
