Mr. Wayne Everette Peeples, 72, a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his home. He was born August 23, 1944 in Winston-Salem, the son of the late, Jesse Everette and Estelle Macie Shelton Peeples. Mr. Peeples was a 1963 graduate of Southwest High School. He attended Wingate College and graduated from East Tennessee State University. He was employed as an accountant by Gray Callison & Co. He is survived by his two daughters, Reneé Lawson and Shanda Peeples both of Winston-Salem; his granddaughter, Ashlyn Bledsoe of Winston-Salem; and his former wife and lifelong friend, Becky Peeples of King. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A military graveside service will follow at Delta United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5993 NC Hwy 704, Sandy Ridge, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to VFW Memorial Honor Guard, 4433 Bashavia Drive, Pfafftown, NC 27040. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
