Wayne Yokely Heath

KERNERSVILLE- Mr. Wayne Yokely Heath, 71, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his family. Wayne was born in Forsyth County on December 20, 1942 to Leon Madison and Evelyn Yokely Heath. He enjoyed working in the yard and UVA Football, but his main focus was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Wayne's love for his family encompassed positive guidance, encouragement and unconditional support, all of which he shared with his friends as well. He was genuinely concerned about the well-being of those he loved and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Wayne Heath; a sister, Joy Bumgarner; brother-in-law, Bill Bumgarner; father-in-law, WG Jones; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary & Barbara Jones.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Linda Jones Heath; a son, Zach Heath (wife, Lauren); three grandchildren, Matthew, Ellie and Hadley Heath; two brothers, Ronnie Heath (wife, Jean) and Mark Heath (wife, Debbie); his mother-in-law, Nana Jones; a sister-in-law, Kathy Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the Church Sanctuary. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
