Wayne Carroll Ballard

Kernersville - Mr Wayne Carroll Ballard , 76, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Guilford Co. September 8, 1935 to the late Altie Irene Pegram Ballard and Robert Lee Ballard, Sr. Wayne was a member of Northwest Baptist Church, and retired from Billings Freight Systems as a Truck Driver. Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Junior Ballard. Surviving are; his loving wife of 23 years, Nancy Stevens Ballard of the home, one son, Keith Ballard (Theresa) of Belews Creek, two daughters, Melissa Rivers (David) of Walkertown, and Donna Decker (Jeff) of Lexington, three step children Pam Blaylock (Butch), Donna Shelton (Dean), and Larry Hicks (Angie), one brother, Johnny Ballard (Terry), three Grandchildren, Jessica Ballard, Kasey, and Hailey Rivers, seven step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel by Rev. Arthur Junior Stevens. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
