Our Lord sent an angel on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 to take Wanda Jean Shore, 63, home. Wanda was a resident of the Oaks at Forsyth. She was born February 29, 1952 in Surry County, the daughter of the late Coy Charlie and Virginia Pardue Shore. She was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church and attended Gospel Light Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Donna Painter and husband, Jim of Winston-Salem; one brother, Kenneth Pardue and wife, Jean of Wilkesboro; two nephews, Barrett Painter and wife, Brooke, Timothy Painter, and Kenny Pardue and wife, Bethanne; one niece, Kim Parson and husband, Chris; a number of great nieces and nephews; and a special friend Jeanne Crutchfield of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted (today) Friday at 1:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:3-4. The arrangements are by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
