Wanda Pegram Redding

Mrs. Wanda Redding, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015. She was born in Forsyth County on January 3, 1928 to the late John W. Pegram and Bessie Transou Pegram. Mrs. Redding was a lifetime member of Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading and was a former basketball and softball player for Hanes Hosiery. Mrs. Redding was a former 22 year employee of Bobbitt's Lewisville Pharmacy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel Cook, Willie Kinney, Hattie Mae Hire, Faye Jones, Johnsie Moser and brothers J.W. Pegram and Billy Pegram. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, John Arthur Redding; her son, Art (Martha) Redding; her daughter, Charlotte (Mark) Turner; brother, Leo (Marie) Pegram; seven grandchildren, Sarah Redding, Laura R. (Nick) Nichols, Keely (Marticus) Thompson, Brooks (Sheena) Grogan, Whitney Grogan, Hayes Jansen, Ciara Jansen; two great grandchildren, Zayden and Gavin and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Clemmons with Mr. Jerry Williams and Mr. James Percival officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
