Mrs. Wanda Kerley Lewis, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday June 19, 2016 at Brookridge Retirement Community. Mrs. Lewis was born on June 16, 1924 in N. Wilkesboro to Hade and Nell McNiel Kerley. She graduated from N. Wilkesboro High School in 1941 and moved to Winston-Salem in 1952, where she was employed at McLean Trucking Co. Later she worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and retired in 1992. She had lived at Brookridge for ten years. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harry, Mack, and Bob Kerley. She is survived by a daughter, Nanelle M. Pulliam and husband Bill of King; a son, Ross McNiel Lewis and wife Ann of Topsham, ME; four granddaughtes, Noelle P. Redmon and husband Chris of Summerfield, NC, Holly P. Mathis and husband John of King, Jessica and Rebecca Lewis of Topsham, ME; five great grandchildren, Mallory and Riley Redmon, Rex, Zeb, and Piper Mathis; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Brookridge Retirement Community with Rev. Gene Sherrill and Rev. Tom Southern officiating. Wanda's ashes will be contained in an urn she molded herself and will be buried in the King Moravian Graveyard. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to King Moravian Church Music Program, 234 W Dalton Rd, King, NC 27021.
