Wanda Faye Hudspeth Gillespie

Mrs. Wanda Faye Hudspeth Gillespie, passed away on June 27, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on May 23, 1941 to Harvey and Lela Shores Hudspeth. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class and as a greeter as well. She retired from Tyco with many years of service. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister but most important, she loved the Lord. She will be missed by all who came in contact with her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband David Boyer. She is survived by her husband, Bill Gillespie of Winston-Salem; two sons, Scott Boyer and wife Lisa of Pawleys Island, S.C. and Todd Boyer and wife Dawn of Germanton; 3 grandchildren, Jessica, David & Jake Boyer; two brothers, Bobby Hudspeth and wife Ann of Mocksville and Ronnie Hudspeth and wife Nancy of Winston-Salem and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Clarence Huie officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
