On May 1, 2015 Wanda DeEtte Hilton Brown of Advance , NC left this earth to find peace and serenity after an 8 year battle with brain cancer. Wanda was born June 8, 1944 in Forsyth County to Bruce and Kathleen Story Hilton. She retired after working in the textile industry for 30 years. Wanda utilized her unmatched creative skills enhancing her home and enjoyed working outside in her yard and flower gardens. Wanda passed peacefully at home with unwavering support from family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Bruce A. Hilton and Kathleen Story Hilton, her siblings; Jeddy Hilton and Sandra Gillaspie; her first child, Kathy Felker ; and granddaughter Cynthia Turner. Surviving to cherish memories are her brother, Bremon Hilton and wife Shelby; son Ken Brown and wife Audrey; daughter Shelia Flanagan and husband David; daughter Sabrina Meadows and husband Buddy; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind her special friend Peggy Hendrix and cousin Dianne Potts. A memorial service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Craddock presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin Valley Baptist Church or Storehouse for Jesus. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
