Walter Vance Tysinger Jr.

Mr. Walter Vance Tysinger Jr., 73, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 1, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Randolph County on August 18, 1936 to the late Walter Vance Tysinger Sr. and Jessie Marie Yates Tysinger. Mr. Tysinger was of Baptist faith and was owner/operator of Tysinger Grading and Hauling until his retirement. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Doris Tutterow Tysinger, a son, Michael Wayne Tysinger, a sister, Peggy Smith and a brother, Charles Tysinger. Mr. Tysinger is survived by two daughters, Debra Rafferty and Barry Kiger of Winston-Salem and Carol Tilley and husband Dwayne of Winston-Salem, a daughter-in-law, Anna Tysinger of Winston-Salem, five grandchildren, Carrie Repetto and husband Scott of Raeford, Michael Tysinger, Jordan Rafferty, Garth Tysinger and Parker Tilley all of Winston-Salem, two special great-grandchildren, Hannah Repetto and Aaron Repetto, two sisters, Eva Jones and husband Ray and Polly Myers and husband Jimmy both of Advance, one brother, David Tysinger and wife Martha of Walnut Cove and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David Tutterow and wife Sonya of Winston-Salem. Funeral services for Mr. Tysinger will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Roy Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening January 4, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. The family would like to send a special thanks to all of his friends and neighbors who would stop by and visit by the woodstove. You will never know how much that meant to Daddy!
