Walter Hubert Smith

Walter Hubert Smith passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in his home in Winston-Salem, NC. from complications of several lung diseases. Walter was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. He was on the original Board of Directors for Escambia Christian School and started the Innerarity Point church of Christ in his living room. Hubert worked at the Naval Air Station Aircraft Rework Facility as a sheet metal smith and retired as the President of the bases AFGE local #1960. Bro. Smith is survived by his wife of 67 years, their daughter and son, 6 grand-kids, 10 great grand-kids and 4 great great grand-kids. Walter will be laid to rest at the V.A. National Cemetery located in Salisbury, NC. Please make donations to Escambia Christian School in honor of Walter H. Smith in lieu of flowers.
