Walter Francis Smith

Mr. Walter Francis Smith, 71, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home. Mr. Smith was born on October 24, 1941 in Milford, MA to Edward Smith, Sr. and Ella Pepin Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Smith retired from Middlesex News in Framingham, MA with many years of service. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all sports. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronnie and Eddie Smith. He is survived by a sister, Rosemarie Smith of Woonsocket, RI; a special niece Lisa Belanger and husband Nate of Winston-Salem; several other nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews; and his very special four legged companion, Tyson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
