Walter E. Sell

Mr. Walter E. Sell, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 23, 1920 in Forsyth County to John Madison Sell and Nancy Beeson Sell. Mr. Sell was a member of Oak Grove Moravian Church, where he was a member of the Mens' Bible Class and served on numerous boards. He was also a member of the Walkertown Civic Club and a retiree from Exxon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Kiger Sell; nine siblings. Surviving are his four children, Jean Cain (Mike), Sue Smith (Jimmy), Rex Sell (Patsy) and Johnny Sell (Phyllis); seven grandchildren, Jason Sell (Jennifer), James Sell (Lauren), Amy Mills (Walter), Joshua Sell (Beth), Tina McCracken (Gary), Bradley Smith (Beth) and Jason Cain (Laura); nine great grandchildren, Patrick, Riley, Allie, Macie, Luke, Max, Nathaniel, Nora and Kaitlyn and a brother, Clarence Sell. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Oak Grove Moravian Church with Rev. Charles Fishel officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service.
