Walter Lee Robbie" Robertson, Jr.

Mr. Walter Lee ""Robbie"" Robertson, Jr. 83 of Troutman, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Gordon Hospice House of Iredell County. Mr. Robertson was born May 5, 1926 in Davie County, a son of the late Walter Robertson, Sr. and the late Nettie Russell Robertson. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran serving during WWII, and was Founder, Owner and Chairman of the Board of Robertson Airtech International, Inc. from which he retired. He was a member of Troutman Baptist Church where he loved and served the Lord faithfully. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Wagoner Robertson in 1989, sisters, Edna Williams, and Nell Baldridge; brothers, Roy Robertson and Hobert Robertson. He is survived by his second wife, Betty Houser Robertson; sons, Terry Robertson, Steve Robertson, and Jim Robertson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday February 7, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Paul Childress and Rev. Tommy Wagoner officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
