Walter Lawrence Morgan

Mr. Walter Lawrence Morgan, 73, of Advance died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1940 in Forsyth County, the son of the late Walter Carl and Bessie America Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a graduate of Forsyth Technical Institute and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a Diesel Mechanic for McLean Trucking Company and was currently employed by BB&T. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Parrish. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Boan Morgan of the home; two daughters, Michelle Morgan Horn of Charlotte and Sherry Morgan Easterling and husband, Ken of Houston, TX; and five grandchildren, Kristen, Eden and David Horn and Sydney and August Easterling. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jo C. Bjorling officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
