Walter Lee Lewis

Walter Lee Lewis was born in St Paul, MN on April 15, 1923 and died peacefully in his sleep on September 14, 2012, aged 89 years. Lee was the beloved husband of Merna Tierney Lewis, father to Gregory (Rose), Cynthia, Wendy (Brent Sigmeth) and Dave (Jan Elftmann), grandfather to Michael Lewis, Hannah and Kitty Jensen. He was preceded in death by mother Rhea and sisters Beverly and Lucille. Lee was a talented musician and choir director, offering these gifts to his church. He worked for King Musical Instrument Co. until retirement. Lee enjoyed family, table games, hunting, conversation, music-and the open road. Travel well, Daddio. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
