Walter Glenn Holt

Mr. Walter Glenn Holt, 86 of Mocksville, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born February 22, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Sam Henry Holt and Carrie Belle Booker Holt. Mr. Holt served in the US Navy during WWII in North Africa and the European theaters and had retired from Roadway Express with 18 years of service. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Lentz Holt of the home; three sons, Gene Holt and wife Rosa of Advance, Steve Holt and wife Sherry of Lewisville and Terry Holt and wife Paulette of King; six grandchildren, Jeff Holt and wife Diana, Christina Holt, Jennifer Holt Eldridge and husband Page, Dawn Holt Henderson and husband Jason, Ryan Holt and Krista Williamson and husband Thomas; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Eula H. Spainhour of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Jeff Carter. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kate B.
