Wallace ""Bud"" Humalo passed away on May 25, 2014. He was born in Clifton, N.J on February 15, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Lang Humalo. He was a graduate of Dawson Institute of Technology as a Tool and Die Maker and Designer. He served his apprenticeship with Dumont Television where he worked for 12 years and spent the last 4 years as Tool Room Foreman. He then went to work for Sandvik Spring Divion., Fairlawn, NJ as a Tool and Die Maker and Tool Room Foreman. He then became a Production Manager for 15 years, both in Fairlawn and Clarks Summit, PA. He became the Technical Assistant for the Spring Sales division covering both the U.S and Canada until his retirement. After his retirement he was a consultant for the spring division for 10 years. During World War II, he served as a 1st Class Machinist Mate in the U.S Coast Guard for 2 ½ years on Coast Guard Cutter 83402. His ship was responsible for anti-submarine patrols off Florida and Cuba. They also took part in the invasion of Normandy and Omaha Beach on CG 21, as part of the Air/Sea Rescue units. As a golfer, he and his wife were members of High Mt. Country Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ, Elkview Country Club in Crystal Lake, PA, Glen Oaks Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA and Pine Brook Country Club in Winston-Salem, NC. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 68 happy years, Marjorie Hill Humalo. He is also survived by a niece, Verna Mae Fox and husband Ron Bretschneider of Richardsville, VA; three nephews, John Fox and wife Svetlana of Anthem , AZ, Richard Fox of Fort Collins, CO and Tom Fox and wife Marcella of Bloomingdale, NJ; several great nieces and great nephews. He and his wife have been members of Parkway Presbyterian Church for more than 20 years. The family will receive friends from 4:30PM to 5:30PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Pastor Dan Wilkers officiating.
