Wade Spencer

Mr. Wade Thomas Spencer, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was born May 1, 1958 in Stokes County to the late Walter and Ruth Spencer. Wade proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic which complemented his mechanical aptitude where everything had a use. He was known for volunteering for his community through mowing and other handy services. He was a lover of collecting, shopping at Goodwill, spending time in nature and art. Wade is survived by his two sisters; Rebecca Sullivan, and Arlene Neal (Terry), eight nieces and nephews; Karen Arlene Neal, Stephen Spencer Chalfa (Rheannon), Melissa Neal Stein (Drew), Gabriel Karr Chalfa, Andrew Eugene Neal (Amy), Patrica Elaine Neal, Emily Anne Neal, and Paul Spencer Neal, as well as many cousins and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Bro. Terry Neal officiating. Burial will follow the service at Spencer Family Cemetery in Lawsonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
