Von Ray Snow

God, in His infinite wisdom, called one of His saints' home to heaven on November 9, 2008. Keithel Von Ray Snow of Lewisville, NC, bade this world goodbye, after a brief illness, and took his Heavenly flight, from his home here to his mansion there. He was born on August 27, 1953 to devoted parents, Rob and Maxine Snow of Winston-Salem, who survive. He grew up in this area, and graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School. Later in life, he felt a call from God, for special service, and attended Piedmont Bible College. He worked for 32 years at the Hanes Company, and was currently employed by Colliers International, a related sub-contracting firm. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Patricia (Patsy) Snow, a son, Nathan and a daughter, Amanda, all of the home; one brother Robbie Snow and wife Angie, of Winston-Salem, NC. He professed Christ, and joined Hanes Baptist Church in 1962, exemplifying a Christian in his daily life. He served as Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher; and in later years was involved in the music program, playing the mandolin at each service. His hobbies were gospel music and fishing. He was Characterized by his humility, graciousness, and willingness to assist as needed. Gospel songs and Biblical sermons will celebrate his wonderful life and Home going. Presiding will be his Pastor, Ron Groce, and a friend, Bro. Billy Seats. The Family will receive friends on Tuesdays, November 11, 6-8 p.m. at the Silas Creek location of Hayworth-Miller. The celebration service will be held at Hanes Baptist Church, 4210 Sabrina Lake Road, WS on Wednesday, November 12 at 11 o'clock, but the body ill lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will be in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The Family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Forsyth Medical Center, the ICU2 Unit, especially Dr. William Bray and Nurse Kathy Jay; also to the many friends who lovingly assisted the Family. Bro. Von Ray will be sorely missed, by lovingly remembered. So long, Bro. Von, ""Until the day break, and the shadows flee away"". (Song of Solomon)
