Vivian Leigh Vaden

KING - Ms. Vivian Leigh Vaden, 69, passed away August 6, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 24, 1941 in Stokes County to the late Sandy Vaden and Nannie Jones Vaden. In addition to her parents, Ms. Vaden was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Vaden Young; two brothers, Bill and Jones; two sisters-in-law, Betty and Gladys; one brother-in-law, BJ Nelson. Surviving are her three daughters, Robin Giles of Walkertown, Sandi Burke (Rex) of Walnut Cove and Jane McMurtry (David) of Kernersville; eight grandchildren, Chad Burke (Angela), Aaron Moser (Brandy), Justin Carpenter, Zack Giles (Devan), Daniella Giles, Hannah McMurtry, Joy Johnson (Anthony), Grace Ann Giles, Emily McMurtry, and Noris Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Jake, Charlie, Mikey and Sarah; two sisters, Shirley Vaden Mickey (Norman) of Westfield and Evelyn Vaden Nelson of King; also numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, August 9 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Scott Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Danbury. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 8 at the funeral home.
