Mrs. Vivian F. Hunter, 85, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Wyoming Co., West Virginia on October 14, 1926 to the late Jerome W. Finley and Dora McFadden Finley. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Winston-Salem where she was active in the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class as long as her health permitted. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with over 40 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Hunter is survived by a daughter, Patricia M. Blakley and husband Dr. Billy R. Blakley of Mt. Airy, two grandsons, Christopher R. Blakley of Mauldin, SC and Rev. Justin P. Blakley and wife Erin of Jonesville and one great-grandson, David Elijah Blakley. Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
