Virginia Priddy Vaden

VADEN WALNUT COVE, Mrs. Virginia Priddy Vaden, 78, a resident of Walnut Ridge Assisted Living passed away Monday April 27, 2009. Mrs. Vaden was born in Stokes County on November 29, 1930 the daughter of the late Walter A. and Vera Young Priddy. Mrs. Vaden was a member of Ayersville Baptist Church in Mayodan. She had retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 19 years of service. Mrs. Vaden was preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Priddy in 1975, her parents, two sisters Frances Nelson and Patsy Lee Priddy, two brothers W. Cranford Priddy and P. Hanes Priddy. Surviving is a sister Miss Ann Joyce of Mayodan and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Doug Byrd officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial are requested to be made to Walnut Ridge Assisted Living, P.O. Box 957, Walnut Cove, NC 27052. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is assisting the Vaden family with arrangements.
