Virginia Smith

Mrs. Virginia Yow Smith, 91, of Lewisville passed away on January 8, 2018 at Trinity Elms Assisted Living. She was born on August 31, 1926 in Forsyth County to Elmer and Susan Hege Yow. Mrs. Smith was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; two brothers, Delmer and Odell Yow; two sisters, Mary Conrad and Barbara Grubbs. Surviving are two sons, Roger Yow of Clemmons, Terry Smith and wife Lynne of Bladenboro; one grandson, Daniel Smith. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2017 at Sharon United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church building fund, 5330 Sharon Church Road, Lewisville, NC 27023.
