Virginia Davis Hellard

Mrs. Virginia Davis Hellard, 87, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1921 in Grayson County, VA to Clayton and Julia Poole Davis. Mrs. Hellard was a member of First Christian Church of Clemmons. She was retired from Wake Forest University Book Store and volunteered at Forsyth Medical Center for several years. Mrs. Hellard was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jackson Hellard. Surviving are one son, Terry Hellard (Mary) of Clemmons; one daughter, Judy H. Needham (Joe) of Archdale; five grandchildren, Annette, Lynn, Jason, David and Steven; three great grandchildren and one sister, Gladys Cumby of Clemmons. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at First Christian Church of Clemmons with Mr. Stacy Abernathy and Mr. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
