Virginia Nifong Fishel

Virginia Nifong Fishel, 93 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Fishel was born July 27, 1917 in Forsyth County to the late Henry Cleveland and Pearl Miller Nifong. She was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nifong was preceded in death by three brothers; Henry Nifong, Dr. Frank Nifong, Rex Nifong and two sister's Ether Farley and Lib Byrum. Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons; Gray Fishel and wife Bonnie of Clemmons, NC, Minehardt Fishel and wife Gennie of Durham, NC; three grandsons; Todd Fishel and wife Cheryl of Clemmons, Ryland Fishel and wife Anna and Carson Fishel all of Durham; two great-grandsons, Dalton Fishel, Cameron Fishel; a brother, Dr. Paul Nifong,Sr. and two sisters; Estelle Novak and Verle Johnson. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday August 9, 2010 at Friedberg Moravian Church officiated by Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and Rev. James C. Newsome. Burial will follow in the Church Graveyard. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Monday in the parlor at the church.
