Virginia Branscome Boone

BOONE Mrs. Virginia Branscome Boone, 86, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. She was born February 8, 1924 in Carroll County, Virginia to Lee and Lizzie Morris Branscome. Mrs. Boone was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church since 1952. Surviving are her husband, Jack Boone; three children, Sherry Medlin and husband Donald of Goldsboro, Richard Boone and wife Susan of Winston-Salem, and Lou Anne Price and husband Doug of Walnut Cove; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at Konnoak Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bishop, the Rev. Michael Branscome, and Chaplain Butch Branscome officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, and other times at the home of Richard Boone, 1531 Ethel Drive, Winston-Salem.
