Winston-SalemMrs. Virginia Juanita Cope Ader, 83, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Ader was born February 27, 1929 in Winston-Salem to the late Bonce and Estelle Holder Cope. She began her career at City Memorial Hospital as the Manager of the Blood Bank and as the Manager of the Chemist Lab in the Hematology Department after which she worked as a Medical Assistant for many years for Dr. Fletcher I. Dorsett. She found her true calling when she changed careers and began working as a Teacher's Assistant with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where she retired in 1999 with over 20 years of service. She loved reading, cooking, crafts, flower gardening, and shopping. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Lee Cope, step-father, Marvin Silas Jarvis, and her in-laws, Baxter Craven and Thelma Woosley Ader. Surviving to cherish her memory is the love of her life, her beloved husband, Forrest Ader; daughter, Shere Ader; sons, David Ader (Connie) and Franz Ader (Margie); grandchildren, Blakely Ricco (John), Ashley Binkowski (Erik), Courtney Potemra (Colan), Heather Johnson (Colt), Spencer Ader, Ellis Ader, and Emily Ader; great-grandchildren, Chamberlain Ricco, Lillyanna Ricco, Olivia Ricco, Emsley Binkowski, Apollo Johnson, Noah Johnson, and Baby Potemra due in July. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Christ Moravian Church with Rev. Dr. David Marcus, Jr. and Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard. The family will receive visitors 7-9 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Ader family wishes to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff of Critical Care and Palliative Units at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Moravian Church, 919 W. Academy St. Winston-Salem, NC 27101. On line condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
