Virgil Butch Williams

Mr. Virgil ""Butch"" Williams, 66, died early Friday morning, September 26, 2008 due to a long health illness. Butch was born May 6, 1942 in Forsyth County to Hubert and Grace Newsome Williams. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Fred and Adam Williams. He is survived by his wife Glenda Williams; daughter, Hollie Stevens; son Shane Williams; grandson, Devon Shane Stevens; his brothers and sisters and their families; Hubert Williams, Jimmy Williams and Tim Williams, Shirley and Warren Pope, Dawn Robertson, Jeremy Pope, Kerry Williams, Kyle Elder, Monica Mize, Summer Harm, Rebecca, Jason, Ryan Williams and special Friday night friends, Doc, T.J., Matt, Jim, Paul, Josh, Beau, Bob, Christina and all of the gang. Butch was a great and proud husband, father and grandfather. He was great with children, an excellent mechanic and he loved fishing and playing cards. His practical jokes, smile and humor will be missed. A graveside service will be conducted 2:30PM, Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 2:00PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
