KING - Mrs. Viola Richardson Maranville passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1914 in Ashe County to the late Alexander Richardson and Maddie Black Richardson. Mrs. Maranville attended King Community Church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband James Maranville. Mrs. Maranville is survived by six children, Notra Gava of King, Shirley Thomas of Winston-Salem, Gloria Teal of Rural Hall, Alice Shell of Lexington, Debbie Dillard of Belews Creek and Randy Maranville of King, NC. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, six great, great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Southern and Delsie Bovender both of Winston-Salem. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Derrick G. Hinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
