Viola Elizabeth Collins

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Viola Elizabeth Gardner Collins, 86, passed away at Kernersville Medical Center, Friday, December 21, 2012. Viola was born on September 13, 1926 in Ringold, Virginia. She worked as a knitter in the Textile Industry for many years. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Vernon Collins in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Siebert (husband, Brian) of Kernersville; a son, Shawn Collins (wife, Carol) of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Terry Shawn Seibert (fiance', Meggan Robbins), Brian Keith Seibert, Jr. (wife, Mallory), Alexis Ann and Parker Mathis Collins, and Amanda Martin; three great grandchildren, Ashawna and Payton Seibert of Roanoke, VA (mother, Amanda Martin), Carson Gorrell; and special friends, Angie Lemmons and Kathy Ziglar. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of her friends at First Christian Church in Kernersville - Jane Hurley, Kathy and Kip Ziglar, Billy Beck, Tabatha Hernandez and boys, Brittany and Skyler Lockhart, Nigel Smith, Joe and April Field and children, Slammer and Bam Hogan, Kayla Logan, Angie Helsap and Jon Lebron. They would also like to express thanks to Community Hospice in Burlington, her friends at Bradford Village, and Tiffany Gibson at Kernersville Family Practice for all of their help and support.
