Vila Mae Smith

On Saturday, July 31st God called his Prayer Warrior, Vila Mae Smith home. Vila loved the Lord, family, friends and the Braves. To Mom, everyone she met was family. Heaven will shine brighter for her being there. Mom will always be remembered for her testimony, ""I am blessed"". Vila leaves behind a husband of 59 years, Roy Lee (Pete) Smith, four children, Patty and Jimmy Salmons, Jeanne and Ken Broadway, Kenny and Donna Smith, and Diana and Tony Pritchard. Her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren will have fond memories of Great-Mom and her Atlanta Braves cap, shirt and hatchet. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Dees officiating. The family will receive one prior to the service.
