Victoria Bartnikowski passed away October 21 on the anniversary of her own mothers passing. A profoundly spiritual woman she was born on April 9, 1926 to Victoria and Nicholas Grisanti in Buffalo, New York. She attended Mount St Josephs Academy and Buffalo State Teachers College. Dr Walter Bartnikowski her husband of 64 years says, ""Victoria was a blind date that I met in 1944 and the answer to her future husband's dream of the perfect woman."" They were married on November 28, 1946. Victoria was a master chef, seamstress, and pianist. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church and member of Holy Family senior's group she peacefully passed away surrounded by her husband and children. We will miss her laugh, her grace, her beauty and her rhubarb pie, chocolate cake and meatballs. Survived by her 5 children: Nancy Rheingold, Barbara Cunnings, Vicki Bartnikowski, Mary Bartnikowski, Walter Bartnikowski, 9 grand children and 6 great-grand children and her brothers and sister; Richard Grisanti, Eugene Grisanti, Elizabeth Grisanti and 17 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of life mass will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church on Kinnamon Road, in Clemmons. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane in Winston Salem 27103.
