WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Vicky Lynn Matthews April 22, 1950 - Oct. 15, 2011 Ms. Vicky Lynn Matthews, 61, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Forsyth Hospital. She was born April 22, 1950 in Forsyth County to Lillian R. and Audry G. Matthews. She graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Electronics. She was employed by Xerox Corp. in Technical Support and later for Xpres, LLC as the Quality Control Manager. She is survived by her brothers Ronny G. Matthews (Cathy) and Larry D. Matthews (Rebecca); nephews Mark Lefler (Christine), Steve Warden (Diana); nieces Holly Nuttall (Trevor), Lauren Sloop (Joseph), Wendy Warden, Rhonda Schuyler, Annette Creeson (Bobby); numerous great nieces and nephews, her beloved Yorkie, Lillie, and many, many friends. She will be remembered as a loving sister, sister-in-law, friend, and the best aunt ever. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 2:00 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Parkway and officiated by Rev. Ray Burke. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Co.
