Vickie Lynn Styers, 73, passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on July 2, 2023, after a valiant fight against bladder cancer. Vickie was born on July 9, 1949, to Bessie Creeson Styers and James Wallace Styers, Sr. in Forsyth County. She was an avid Duke Basketball fan who also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and adored listening to Elvis, particularly his gospel recordings. But more than anything, Vickie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Styers, Jr.; and sisters, Barbara Hill, Diane Snow, and Linda Willard. Surviving are her children, Christi L. Stark, Jennifer L. Wilson, James “Larry” Wilson (Crystal Dawn), and Amanda L. Wilson; grandchildren, Zachary (Tiffani), Brandon, Jonathan, Hanah (Gestin), and R.J.; great grandchildren, Cameron, Colson, and Jaiden; a brother, Doug Styers; and brother-in-law, Billy Hill; beloved extended family; and granddogs, Evie, Quizie, and Leonard. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A private service will be held. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Novant Health Kernersville and Forsyth Medical Centers; especially Novant’s Palliative Care Team, as well as the staff at Kate B. Reynolds that took such great care of our mom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
