Vickie Ann Kiser Saunders

Mrs. Vickie Ann Kiser Saunders, 64, went to her Heavenly home Saturday, July 30, 2016. She was born April 18, 1952, in Forsyth County the daughter of Elizabeth Shore Kiser and the late Vance Oliver Kiser. Vickie graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1970 and Appalachian State University in 1974, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. In 1985 she furthered her education at Central Piedmont Community College earning an Associate of Applied Science in General Office Technology. She taught elementary school for seven years. Vickie was an active member of Kingswood United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed the Seniors Keeping Young (SKY) trips and her Bunco group. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed traveling with her husband to all 50 states. Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years. Michael F. Saunders; mother, Elizabeth S. Kiser; four brothers: Kevin V. Kiser (Pat), Barry W. Kiser (Trish), Jeffrey S. Kiser (Carol), and Gregory F. Kiser (Lisa); goddaughter, Danielle Tatum Smith (Adam); seven nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Kingswood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Sypole and the Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
