Vernon Levi Kiger

Mr. Vernon Levi Kiger, 50, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. He was born November 16, 1965 in Stokes County, the son of Ralph Vernon Kiger and Carell Brown Kiger. Vernon was a faithful member of Jefferson Church of Christ. He was employed with Atrium Windows & Doors for 30 years. Vernon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kiger is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Melissa Kiger; son, Christopher Kiger (Tessa); grandson, Andrew Kiger; brother, Jeff Kiger (Donna); sister-in-law, Teresa Everhart; nephew, Spencer Everhart; and mother-in-law, Mickie Burrow. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Jefferson Church of Christ with Jerry Simpkins, minister officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Jefferson Church of Christ. (Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel)
