Mr. Vernon Junior Ingram, 89, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born July 25, 1931, in Stokes County to the late Vernon Manila Ingram and Hessie Mae Lineback Ingram. Mr. Ingram proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served as a member of the Rural Hall Fire Department over 10 years. Mr. Ingram was a faithful member of Corinth Church of Christ, as long as his health permitted. He retired as the owner/operator of Ingram’s Exxon in Rural Hall with 33 years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pattie Boles Ingram; two sons, David and Michael Ingram; two grandsons, Brandon and Tuff; brother, Jack Ingram; and four sisters, Mildred Pinnix, Ruby Duggins, Nell Boles, and Viola Tuttle. He leaves behind his devoted son and caretaker, Stanley Ingram (wife, Brooke); six grandchildren: Felicia (husband, Tommy), Tiffany, D.J. (fiancé, Tiffany), Cameron, Sadie, and Annabelle; and three great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kelsea, and Ryden. A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, January 16, at Crestview Memorial Park. Military burial rites will be provided by American Legion Post 290 of King.
