Valmore Henri Forcier, Jr.

Mr. Valmore Henri Forcier, Jr., 75, of Winston-Salem died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1933 in Danielson, CT., the son of the late Valmore Henry Forcier, Sr. and Louise Magrey Forcier. Mr. Forcier was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. He taught at Summit School during the 1970's. He later became a social worker and was Director of Senior Services until his retirement. He was a locally known artist and won numerous awards for his art work. Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Forcier of Myrtle Beach, SC and Noelle Shutt and husband, Brent of Pfafftown; four grandchildren, Joshua Forcier of Winston-Salem, Jordan Forcier of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Olivia Shutt and Brady Shutt of Pfafftown. A funeral mass will be said Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Senior Services, Inc., 836 Oak Street, Tobacco Square, Suite 320, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
