Valena V. Vogler

Valena Vogler, age 90, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2016. She was born on March 5, 1926 in Davidson Co. to Hope S. and Eva Broadstreet Vogler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 58 years, Alba H. Vogler; brothers, Stokes Vogler and Charlie Vogler; infant sister, Mary Frances Vogler and daughter, Patricia Matthews.

Valena is survived by her son Jack L. Vogler (Sharon Ann); grandchildren, Josh Vogler and Stacy Simpson; great granddaughter Myrna E. Vogler, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Valena had a great love for her church at Linville Forest Church of Christ where she was a member and attended as long as her health permitted. She was retired from Forsyth County Public Library with 30 years of service. One of her greatest joys in life was preparing meals for her family gatherings.

A private graveside service was held Monday, June 20, 2016.

Valena's family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of Forsyth Medical Center, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, and her many friends and neighbors for their special care of Valena.
