Vada Roberts Wilson

KERNERSVILLE-Vada Catherine Roberts Wilson, 94, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1919 in Grayson Co., VA to the late George Pyott and Verdie Sawyers Roberts.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Kernersville Church of Christ for over 45 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kemper Coy Wilson, Sr.; one daughter, Darlee Haymon; one granddaughter, Kathy Haymon; one grandson, David Stafford and two brothers; two sons-in-law, Jim Stafford and Charles Haymon

Surviving are her son, Kemper C. Wilson, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Winston Salem; daughter, Yvetta Wilson Stafford of Kernersville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carrie Mae Crawford of Asheboro, Mayme Childress of IN, and Ora Jane Roberts of Graham.


A Funeral Service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at Kernersville Church of Christ with Pastor Larry Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
