Tyra Rippy Rice

               Mrs. Tyra Rippy Rice, 80, of Clemmons, NC passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at her home. She was born April 26, 1944 in Burlington, NC to George Levi Rippy and Mabel Hanford Rippy. Mrs. Rice was a member of Clemmons Presbyterian Church and retired from Atrium Health. Surviving are her husband, Ron Rice; two sons, Ronald “Tate” Rice (Anna) and Charles “Bret” Rice; five grandchildren, Will Rice, Sally Rice, Virginia Rice, Payton Rice and Charlie Rice; three siblings, LaDale Rippy, Lane Williamson and Terry Rippy and close friend Amy Byrd. 

                A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at Clemmons Presbyterian Church with Pastor Troy Lesher-Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall. A private graveside service will be held at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be made to Clemmons Presbyterian Church, 3930 Clemmons Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012 or to Sally’s Angels Fund Brenner Children’s Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Office of Philanthropy, P.O. Box 57102, Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
