Tyler Winfield Smith, 26, was born on July 22, 1989 to Tony and Lori Wright Smith and passed to his heavenly home on June 11, 2016 after nine years of suffering with the many complications of a Traumatic Brain Injury. He was preceded in death by this grandfather, Durward A. Smith, Jr. He is survived by his parents and a son, Slater Smith and one brother, Thomas Smith; grandparents, Tom and Elaine Wright of Greensboro and Mary Lee Smith of Rural Hall along with the following aunts, uncles and cousins: Beth Wright, Doug and Kelly Wright, Durward, III and Vickie Smith, Chris and Mary Beth Smith, Adam Wright, Lacy Wright, Carlyn Wright, Kristen Smith Jones, Ashley Smith Harrell, Candace Smith, William Smith and Andrew Smith. Tyler was a very caring and loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin who had sincere compassion for all people and especially those in need. He dreamed of traveling the world and his goal was to have a normal existence in this life. He liked music and enjoyed creating his own. He attended West Forsyth High School and graduated from the Winston-Salem Street School. He was employed at Smith Case, Inc. in Winston-Salem. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. A private graveside service will follow. Tony, Lori and Thomas express their sincere appreciation to the many friends and family for their care, concern and sympathy at this difficult time.
