Mrs. Trudy Ann Lawton Motsinger, 80, of Lewisville, NC, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 14, 2024. Mrs. Motsinger was born June 18, 1944, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Harold and Goldie Boyer Lawton. Trudy graduated High School and then went on to Airline School in Kansas City, Missouri. She also worked with the F.B.I. in Washington, DC, Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC later retired as a teacher after 30 years of service. She was a longtime active member of Center Grove Church where she loved her church family and sang in the choir and served on various committees. She had hobbies such as pencil art, card making, traveling and spending time with her granddaughters. Trudy was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Hartman. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Clay Motsinger; two granddaughters, Emma and Lydia Hartman; a son-in-law, Jason Hartman; one sister, Terry Adkins; and a brother, David Lawton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. There is no stated visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
