Troy M. Ridings

Mr. Troy M. Ridings, 88, died May 10th, at Clemmons Village II Assisted Living Facility in Clemmons. A native of Lewisville, Mr. Ridings was born December 31, 1925, to the late Walter Alexander Ridings and Nora Griffin Ridings. He was a lifelong member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He was retired from L A Reynolds Construction Co. and The City of Winston-Salem. Mr. Ridings enjoyed visits from family and friends, reminiscing about his former career in the construction business and was an avid NASCAR fan. Troy was known for being an extremely kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Billie C. Ridings of the home; a son, Steve T. Ridings and wife Angie of Clemmons; one special grandson, David S. Ridings and wife Misty of Lewisville; and two great grandchildren (Lee & Lorali). He is survived by one sister, Kathleen Ridings Frye of Clemmons and one brother Jack Ridings and wife Dianne of Lewisville. Additionally, he is survived by a great-niece, Cathy Burton of Clemmons and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the staff of Clemmons Village II and Community Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during the past two years. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 13th, 11:00 AM at Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
