Troy Glenn Kiser

Mr. Troy Glenn Kiser, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1927 in Stokes County to the late Cecil Ray Kiser and Ida Virginia Lineback Kiser. Mr. Kiser proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 38 ½ years service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kiser was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara June Jackson Kiser; one daughter, Clara Elaine Cheek; one grandson, Tony Cheek; one granddaughter, Tina L. Hunt; one great-grandson, Brandon E. Craver; and one sister, Clara Mabe. Surviving are four children, Bobby R. Kiser, Glenda F. Kiser, Candice L. Kapps and Lisa M. Brown; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with the Rev. Vic Pyles officiating. Military burial rites will be provided by the American Legion Post 290 of King. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
