Devin Trey-Paul Swaim, 25, of Kernersville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. He was born December 9, 1993 in Forsyth County. Trey was a strong young man that overcame many obstacles in his short life. He was quite the jokester who made everyone around him laugh. Trey was preceded in death by his mother, Angelan Scarlette Swaim; a sister, Jacy Bleu Swaim; a brother, Brandon Hunter and a grandfather, Bill Jones. Surviving are his father, James Richard Swaim, Jr.; his step-mother, Wendy Long; two sisters, Brooke Hoskins (Ryck) and Kayla Hunter; a brother, Vann Swaim (Reagan); grandparents, Paul Tilley (Ruth), Josephine Tilley and Nell Jones. Trey also had many aunts, uncles and cousins surviving as well. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Trey was loved by many and cherished by all who knew him.
